Crews close to clearing snow off Cascade roads
SEATTLE ? Washington state road crews using heavy-duty snow blowers and bulldozers are close to reopening three highways through the Cascades that were closed by deep winter snow and avalanche danger.

MOUNT RAINIER ? The Washington Transportation Department says a scenic drive through Mount Rainier National Park is available again with Tuesday?s reopening of Cayuse Pass on the east side of the mountain. The department says crews are still clearing snow from nearby Chinook Pass, but they hope to have it open in time for Memorial Day Weekend.

MOUNT RAINIER, Wash. (AP) ? The Washington Transportation Department says a scenic drive through Mount Rainier National Park reopens Tuesday with the noon lifting of the gates to Cayuse Pass on the east side of the mountain.
